I heart jewish cats!
I would take a photo of Jack in a yarmulke, but we don’t think he’s jewish.
cat with wings: myth or reality

I don’t know this cat’s name, but I do know he lives in China. And he has wings.
According to the article, this kitty was born normal but started to develop these “furry wing-like appendages” when it was about a year old. Though an explanation is offered (“genetic mutation caused by chemicals during its mother’s pregnancy”/”a [...]

The woman in this video, Tina Teixeira of Lodi, California, must be grieving intensely over the loss of her cat last week in a hit and run just beyond her front yard. Because if grief isn’t the reason for her actions, then I don’t know what is.
Yes, that’s right, Tina thinks the solution to cat [...]

I’m sure it comes as no surprise to any world wide whiskers reader that I’ve been obsessed with cats since I was a little girl. Throughout my childhood I begged for one to no avail. Then one day when I was 12 and my sister was 4, I came home from school to discover my [...]

This is Sockington, or Socks for short
He has more than 500,000 followers on Twitter. His owner views him as “a modern Garfield,” and having read his tweets I would say that is somewhat accurate. He’s missing that sarcasm and disdain for the world that made Garfield so lovable.
Jack, who has 348 followers (more than me, [...]
dog that walks upright: creepy or awesome?

This video is for my boyfriend, who often wishes that Jack could walk upright like a human being.
Faith is a lovely dog, and I wish her well, but . . . something about this freaks me out.
world’s smallest cat?

Bitsy, a black-and-white cat from Pensacola, Florida, might be the world’s smallest cat.
At 1.5 pounds, six and a half inches tall, and 18 and 3/4 inches long, it would seem like Bitsy has it in the bag, but the Guiness World Records people are quite strict about verifying such things. So [...]

This is Criss Angel, magician, “mindfreak,” and alleged cat thief.
Two years ago, fellow Las Vegas performer Jeff Beacher inherited his parents’ cat, Hamlet, after their deaths. Distraught and living in a hotel, he asked a friend to temporarily care for the cat. Allow Mr. Beacher’s lawyer to explain what happened next:
“Soon thereafter, while still grieving [...]
