How could you say no to that face?
Next week marks the release of Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World. Slipped into an Iowa library’s book return slot one wintry night in 1988, Dewey became the branch’s official cat, charming employees and customers until his untimely death. Theblurbs, which are posted on Amazon, are priceless:
“Through this plucky cat we come to know and love the town of Spencer, Iowa and learn lessons about courage, generosity and the power of relationships. Dewey is a hero. I wish there were more people like him.”
“Dewey rekindles my belief that one person (together with one cat) can change lives.”
Indeed.
